Since its inception in 2005, the WSIA PAC has been a key element of WSIA's advocacy strategy. The PAC helps the association educate members of Congress about the importance and impact of the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines industry on the nation’s economy.  The PAC offers an influential voice on the industry’s complex insurance issues and can also offer financial support to candidates whose philosophies are consistent with the goals of WSIA and its members. WSIA monitors and discusses proposed and pending legislation with Members of Congress that directly impact the surplus lines insurance industry.

The WSIA PAC 2023 Annual Report offers additional information about the PAC's contributors and contributions.

A message from the WSIA PAC leadership

Thank you for your interest in the WSIA PAC. The need for effective representation in Washington, D.C. has never been greater for WSIA and its members. With Congress considering a host of insurance-related legislation, the important and essential role WSIA members play in providing specialty insurance coverage through the wholesale surplus lines distribution system must be heard in Congress.

To tell the WSIA story and advance and protect its members’ interests, WSIA established a strong lobbying presence in Washington D.C. Our Washington lobbying team works on Capitol Hill and in offices of executive branch departments and agencies educating lawmakers about WSIA, the wholesale insurance distribution system, the surplus lines market and articulating WSIA members’ interests and concerns on legislation and regulation.

We urge you to review this website for information about the WSIA PAC.

Sincerely,
